The GYTA33 optical cable adopts a PBT loose tube design, where the optical fibers are housed and filled with thixotropic gel. At the center of the cable core lies a steel wire strength member, and for cables with higher core counts, a PE cushion layer is added. The loose tubes are stranded around the central strength member in an SZ pattern, with water-blocking compounds filling the interstices. The outer layer is reinforced with round steel wire armor and covered by a polyethylene sheath for enhanced protection.
